Charles J. Waldron (attributed) (1836-1891)
Return to Collection  :: Return to Three-masted Vessels

An Irish born Liverpool painter, C.J. Waldron was a master tradesman who maintained a studio in Seacombe across the River Mersey from Liverpool. He was also an “oil and paint” merchant supplying fellow artists with his wares. His paintings were mostly for export, in particular to America, where the largest number of examples survive.
