Return to Collection  :: Return to Artist List

John Loos was a late 19th century ship portrait painter living in Antwerp, Belgium. He worked predominantly in oils capturing primarily local shipping in the Scheldt estuary near his home town. He is believed to have been either the son or brother of Henry Loos (fl. 1840-1870) who painted marine views in a similar style.
